elcome to the Energy Association of Pennsylvania, formed in October 2000 through the merger of the Pennsylvania Electric and Pennsylvania Gas Associations. The Energy Association represents the interests of the Commonwealth’s PUC-regulated electric and natural gas energy distribution companies, five Associate members and over-95 Affiliate members.

Prior to the merger, both associations represented the interests of their respective regulated natural gas and electric, vertically-integrated industries. However as a result of recent state laws that have deregulated both industries, the focus of the associations has narrowed to representing the interests of the regulated energy distribution companies. The merger has allowed both industries to retain their strategic focus while enabling the organization to combine resources and knowledge to produce a more efficient and effective effort in representing the interests of its members, their customers, shareholders and employees.
